Large companies, educational institutions, hotels and hospitals have one thing in common. They host meetings; thousands over the year.  Meeting rooms are valuable real estate. However, the fact is, many of these rooms are double booked. Further to that, as much as 30 percent of meetings scheduled end up as no shows. The result? Wasted space – and it costs organizations money. Enter Reserva Edge.

Companies like Google, with massive meeting schedules, boasts 20,000 meeting rooms in New York. Imagine coordinating that schedule. That’s one of the reasons they use Reserva Edge, an intuitive meeting room signage solution that links to online timetables and booking systems. It supports integration with calendar and timetabling systems such as Office 365, Google (of course), G Suite, Amadeus, and Oracle Hospital to name a few.

Its touch screen technology allows users to book meetings, check the schedule for a meeting room and even handles image and video playback. It also allows users to communicate issues or changes, which can be sent directly from the touch screen immediately to other users via email and phone. If a room is booked, users can check to see what other rooms are available.

Shaun Guthrie, Director of Commercial Business Development for Production World (and Shop Production World, the online store that offers Reserva) says, “It’s very specific in terms of its main function as a system, yet it offers diversity and because it is a versatile communications platform. Simply put, it controls schedules and it can also act like a playlist. It really transforms meeting room signage

Users can manage all aspects of configuration via a web browser. It can be customized with company logos and backgrounds. It’s ergonomic, too. The tilted touch screen interface features edge to edge glass, anti-fingerprint coating, fully concealed cables and connectors, integrated ID card scanner and clear LED status illumination inside and outside a room. Screen sizes range from 10 inches up to 21.5 inches. The system is free of any software maintenance or subscription fees, so once it is installed it is ready to go.

It is particularly effective for companies hosting meetings involving people unfamiliar with the office building of a company. “The interface is very user friendly,” says Guthrie. “Even if you are not familiar with the building you’re in, Reserva Edge will guide you to the meeting room you are looking for.

The Reserva Edge has turned many heads, including those of the judges at InfoComm 2019 who anointed the product as “Best of Show”.
